Welcome to Sai Ashrayadham
With the divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Sai Ashrayadham was founded by Shri APN Sharma and his wife Smt Shobha N. Sharma both ardent devotees of Baba. Shri APN Sharma was born in a poor family in a small village near Karkala (Dist. Udupi) Karnataka, as 11th child to his parents. He left for Bombay at the age of 13 years (after SSLC) in search of a job and for pursuing further studies. After spending over 22 years in Bombay, he settled in Bangalore near Sathya Sai Baba Ashram, Kadugodi with the sole purpose of setting up an orphanage.
The idea of establishing orphanage came to his mind because of his poverty-ridden childhood and the fact that he was partaking his midday meal during his schooling at native place at one of his friend's house. It was when his mother advised him thus: "Child Annadhana is a great Dhana, accept it when given by somebody now but as a loan and repay it to the society when you grow up by adopting some orphans/poor children".
